Sunday luxury, what is it for you? For us, it's a long run in beautiful nature and something good to eat and drink. It's Hoka Torekov-Båstad Sunday.

Sunday is about enjoying and relaxing. And about taking part in all the good things that the food artisans on the Bjäre peninsula have to offer. Because there's not a little that comes from the fertile soil here by the sea in northwestern Skåne. On the menu are local cheese, kombucha, apple cake and non-alcoholic bubbly. Along the way, you can enjoy the view of the sea and the nice run on the grassy paths.

The start is in Torekov, after a short part along the cobblestone streets of the picturesque village, you reach the beach heath. Here, your gaze can freely wander towards Halland's Väderö and Kullaberg on the other side of Skälderviken. You pass the mysterious Dagshög where a Scanian king from the Bronze Age rests. Here we also see the remains of a quarry of much younger date. Charming Rammsjöstrand is followed by Glimminge plantation – all while you run on the soft grass paths. In Glimminge after 9 km the first tasting station awaits you.

After Ängelbäcksstrand the seaside landscape changes to the soft hills of Grevie backar. They were created when the ice sheet melted 14,000 years ago. Maybe some of the flowers that thrive here have already started to emerge? Here the second tasting station appears and beckons you to stop.

After Grevie it slopes downwards through Sinarpsdalen. Here the beech forest dominates, with elements of pastures. This is where Lindegren's animals graze and here you meet the third tasting station after 21 km. Remember to look up even if you are tired, the views towards the blue waters of Laholmsbukten are worth your attention. Once down on flat ground, there is a short distance past Båstad harbour before you sprint to the finish line on the beach at Hotel Skansen and reach the fourth tasting station after 28 km.

Welcome to taste the flavors of the Bjäre Peninsula

Tasting the local delicacies of the Bjäre Peninsula is like tasting the landscape itself, the salty sea winds, the sun-warmed soils and the careful craftsmanship of generations of growers and producers. Here the freshness of the sea meets the richness of the farms, and every bite carries a story about the place, nature and the people who care for it.
